Chenguang Metal Coating actively participates in the revision of national standards

On December 28, 2023, the National Standards Commission issued a notice on the issuance of the 2023 National Standards Review and Revision Plan (National Standards Commission Document [2023] No. 64), which issued a revision plan for nine standards, including the "Measurement of Flow Time for Paints and Varnishes using Flow Cups". The National Technical Committee for Standardization of Coatings and Pigments invites representative units to participate in the revision of this batch of standards. "Chenguang Metal Coating" actively participates in the revision of three national standards, namely "Automotive Coatings", "Measurement of Flow Time for Paints and Varnishes using Flow Cups", and "Determination of Gloss for Paints and Varnishes at 20 °, 60 ° and 85 °".

Our company took the lead in revising the standard of "Automotive Coatings". In order to make the standard better reflect the opinions of the industry and be more progressiveness and applicable, on March 24, 2024, more than 20 domestic OEMs including FAW, DONGFENG, Heavy Duty Truck, GEELY, CHERY, XPEV, BYD, etc. were convened to participate in the project launch conference.

The conference representatives had a detailed discussion on the framework construction of standard texts and the replacement standards, GB/T 13492-1992 "Topcoats for All Colors of Vehicles" and GB/T 13493-1992 "Basecoats for All Colors of Vehicles", and determined the next stage of testing and verification plan. The attending representatives are eager to introduce new standards that meet the current status of automotive painting.
